Luxury Canal and River
Cruising in Europe

Holland and Belgium
6 nights, Departing every Sunday between May 24 and July 11, July 26 and August 22, and September 06 and October 10

The Captain's reception welcomes you on board, and after lunch you visit, by motorcoach, the windmill area of the Zaansche Schans and the Frans Hals Museum in Haarlem, where you moor for the night.
Cruising on to quiet Delft, famous for blue-and-white tableware, you tour the Delftse Pauw to watch master craftsman at work in one of the city's original porcelain factories. You moor in the center of town - surrounded by canals, gabled houses and humpbacked bridges - and wander through Delft's medieval streets.
Gouda, a picturesque city known for its cheese, is your next destination, visited by motorcoach from an overnight mooring in Rotterdam. You also visit the Kinderdijk windmill area. After rejoining 'Vincent Van Gogh' at Volkerak for lunch, you cruise to Westerschelde, an open sea-arm in the heart of Zeeland, where you spend the night. Crossing the Westerschelde, 'Vincent Van Gogh' enters Belgium, with the spires of Ghent, an ancient city with Roman roots, on the horizon. You moor in the center of town near the Church of the Holy Blood, disembarking for walking tours of Ghent and a visit to the city's cathedral. Then it's on to Bruges via the Ghent/Ostende Canal. Often called the "Venice of the North," Bruges has an extensive and picturesque network of canals and bridges, as well as outstanding medieval architecture. Here a walking tour shows you many of the city's art treasures, including works by Flemish Masters, before a farewell dinner marks a last night on board.

Note: The Holland/Belgium route runs in reverse on alternate weeks. Children under 15 welcome on charters only.
